The Research Team IHRC ‘Information: History, Regulation and Culture’ of DALMS (Department of Library, Archives and Museum Sciences) of the Ionian University was founded in July 2013 and its purpose is research on the concept of information in relation to history, regulation (law and ethics) and culture.

The Research Team meets regularly with invited guests discussing particular topics and papers which have been distributed to its members. After the presentation of the invited guest, members of the team proceed with their interventions, contributing to the discussion from various points of view. IHRC organizes, co-organizes or collaborates towards various Greek and international conferences.

The Research Team is a regular collaborator with the biannual CEPE international conference series. Computer Ethics: Philosophical Enquiries has been held with IHRC at Rome 2025, Norfolk (US) 2019, Chicago (US), 2023 and is organizing the next CEPE 2027 in Turku, Finland with the University of Turku.
