Presenter: PhD candidate, Nikos Koutras

Nikos Koutras is member of our research team and we would like to host a seminar, 20 July 2015, in the context of his PhD research project (PhD by publication) at Macquarie Law School in Australia. The argument is that as OARs constitute a contemporary response regarding the sharing and dissemination of information resources it is important to examine theoretical arguments about the desirability of OARs in the digital age. It will be argued that OARs can be understood as a form of social justice and can help to strengthen social cohesion in contemporary societies. This argument will rely on the concept of public policy as one means of achieving social justice. In conclusion, this chapter is significant as theoretical issue.
